Benchmark points towards 4G-friendly processor
Dual-core Samsung Galaxy S3 appears
Details of a dual-core Samsung Galaxy S3 have appeared online, suggesting the US will get a 4G-friendly version of the flagship handset.
According to data on the NenaMark benchmark site, a handset boasting model number SCH-I535 has appeared rocking Qualcomm's 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor.
The data is tagged to the network Verizon and other stats match up with the Galaxy S3, including the 1280 x 720 screen resolution and the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Not the first time

This leak comes as no surprise, as we've already seen HTC down-grade its quad-core One X handset to a dual-core device for the US market, allowing it to deliver 4G connectivity.
In fact we reported back in April that the Galaxy S3 was likely to pack a dual-core chip in the US, as there are compatibility and battery life issues when combining the current crop of the quad-core processors and 4G technology.
The Galaxy S3 is expected to hit selves on or around May 30, so there won't be long to wait to see if the dual-core rumours are true, but it seems pretty likely - will it lead to longer battery life as well, meaning the rest of the world looking on enviously?
